Why visit Bhutan?

Geographically, Bhutan is located within the Himalayan arch sandwiched between Asian giants, China in the north and India in the south. People often wonder about how this tiny kingdom could maintain sovereignty when most of its neighboring kingdoms were either conquered or surrendered to Emperor of British India and China. The principle of isolation had largely kept the kingdom from being touched by western colonization where barter system which was used as principle trading method had kept the country from interfering with neighboring countries which were already fallen under the mighty hands of western countries.
